What Does Your Jewellery Say About You
Lady Moor’s Lover was absolutely thrilled and honoured to be invited by Frosting Magazine to contribute to the Spring issue – now out on newstands throughout Australia.
The ethos behind LML centres around the idea that jewellery speaks to a woman’s core – it reflects the woman, her character, her perspective and even her mood. So what better way to explore that notion, than to look at the historical beginning of jewellery and then look behind some of the contemporary designers in the the LML collection and explore the way certain pieces of jewellery allow women to make a particular statement about themselves.
The question of course is then asked: What does your jewellery say about you? What is your headline?

Fun and Flirty Contemporary Jewellery - Elvira Sazesh
Today TrendHunter Magazine honed in on Elvira Sazesh's fun and flirty designs, exploring her bold hand-made creations.
Rightfully so, TrendHunter noted that today's contemporary jewellery designers are looking towards materials other than the traditional gold and silver to incorporate into their designs and Elvira Sazesh has done just that. Incorporating hand-printed fringed and tasstled suede, her pom-pom like creations just make you want to head out and onto the dance floor - they are joyous and celebratory.
For those women looking to inject some 'bold' into their accessories, look no further than Elvira Sazesh.

Contemporary Jewellery That Will Have You Stopping Traffic - Today's Issue of Accessories Magazine "Trend Finder"
Unlike many of the other posts we've done here at Lady Moor's Lover, today we've decided to give you more of a personal story - to talk about Lady Moor's Lover as a concept, how it came about, the story behind the founder, Fiona Phillips and today's issue of Accessories Magazine "Trend Finder".
For those of you that don't know much about Fiona Phillips or her background, Fiona, by profession, was a lawyer and she decided after 8 years in that field to leave it behind in order to pursue her passion and interest in contemporary jewellery via the creation and concept of Lady Moor's Lover.
Despite a career in such a 'traditional profession,' Fiona went through high school focussed almost entirely on artistic pursuits. In her final year of school she received the honour of being one of the chosen few to exhibit her work in the National Gallery of Victoria in the now well known Top CATS exhibition and was also invited to exhibit in various other exhibitions, including at the Victorian State Resources Centre. She was also accepted into RMIT for Fashion Design.
Nevertheless, Fiona ended up studying and pursuing Law as a career until finally deciding it was time to revisit her creative inclinations. After leaving the law, Fiona embarked on studies at a private Fine Arts Academy as well as undertaking various jewellery design courses.
Now you're probably wondering, what has all of this got to do with Accessories Magazine's "Trend Finder". Don't worry, we're getting to that.
As you are probably now well aware, Lady Moor's Lover focusses on contemporary statement jewellery, 'wow' factor pieces made by jewellery designers who approach their pieces from an artist's point of view - each piece has a story, theme and an inspiration and is created to reflect those elements. They are not fashion accessories made to match a person's outfit - they have creative thought behind them, they have a soul and a perspective.
Fiona, as the founder of Lady Moor's Lover had decided that there was a place in Australia for these type of creations and moreover, a demand. And indeed, this was confirmed in spectacular style on one unsuspecting day as Fiona walked down her local street, on her way out, wearing a contemporary statement necklace she had purchased from overseas. This piece was one that apparently, had the ability to stop traffic....literally! As she walked down the street, a car pulled over suddenly, almost causing an accident in the process, and a woman jumped out of her car and ran up to Fiona in an effort to find out where she purchased her necklace from. It was stuff movies are made from right? The woman was understandably disappointed to find out the piece was from overseas and not available for purchase in Australia.
It was a significant and telling moment, a light bulb moment that marked the beginning of the concept of Lady Moor's Lover - the concept being for Fiona to merge her artistic point of view, background and experience with her love for jewellery and to offer customers unique and striking statement pieces, masterfully handmade creations that were not otherwise available in Australia.
Finally now we get to Accessories Magazine Trend Finder. Take a look at today's headline "WHAT'S HOT AND WHERE TO FIND IT" and you'll see that they have featured a stunning burnished metal contemporary jewellery piece. And what is the significance of that piece you might ask? Well, featured there is the very same statement necklace Fiona wore that day walking down the street!
Take a further look at Trend Finder
and what other brand should they also feature? One of the contemporary designer jewellery brands stocked in Lady Moor's Lover's first collection, Suzanna Dai Contemporary Jewellery Designs.
It's a full circle for LML - the piece that inspired the birth of Lady Moor's Lover alongside one of the contemporary jewellery designers in Lady Moor' Lover's debut collection.
So there you have it - Lady Moor's Lover, a concept driven by the desire to offer Australians spectacular, head-turning contemporary jewellery statement pieces that might allow you, like Lady Moor's Lover's founder, Fiona Phillip, to stop your own traffic!

The secret to reviving the life of your old wardrobe without spending a fortune!
It's common knowledge that the retail market is suffering a slow turn. People just can't afford these days to keep updating their wardrobes with new outfits every season in order to keep up with trends.
So what can you do to bring new life into the tired, old pieces hanging in your closet without spending a fortune? Two words - statement jewellery. And we're not talking the 'made in china' variety. It's quite simple - cheap jewellery can make even an expensive outfit look cheap. But investing in one or two amazing pieces of well-crafted, beautifully designed contemporary jewellery can make a cheap outfit look expensive and bring new life into your entire wardrobe.
The trick is to chose those pieces wisely. Our rule of thump is one stunning but versatile necklace that can be worn day and night and one striking pair of statement earrings.
Take these pieces for example. You can wear them casually with just a simple single top and jeans, convert a boring black suit jacket at work into something edgy and modern or team it with any dress at night to add texture and dimension to something that might ordinarily seem plain and dreary.
A stunning pair of statement earrings can do the same thing - the earrings become the feature, the outfit the background.
A couple of exquisite contemporary statement pieces can not only make an outfit look 'expensive' but it can tranform your entire look at a fraction of the cost of buying a new wardrobe.
All pieces are available in Australia only at Lady Moor's Lover
